About The Place at Corkscrew
The Place at Corkscrew was built out between about 2017 and 2023 by Lennar and Pulte on land developed by Cameratta Companies, the same developer behind Verdana Village and Corkscrew Shores. Lennar completed the first phase of amenities in 2018. The community sits in unincorporated Lee County with an Estero 33928 address, about two miles east of Alico Road.
Homes are laid out on 52-, 62- and 75-foot lots around lakes and preserves, with sidewalks and walking paths connecting the neighborhoods to the central amenity campus so kids and adults can walk or bike to the pool, courts and restaurants. Although some senior-living websites list it, The Place at Corkscrew has no age restriction and is especially popular with families.
The Place at Corkscrew Housing Options
The Place at Corkscrew is all single-family homes, from about 1,670 to more than 4,200 sq ft with two to six bedrooms:
- 52-foot lots: efficient one-story homes, a good fit for seasonal owners and first-time Florida buyers.
- 62-foot lots: mid-size one- and two-story homes, many with pools.
- 75-foot lots: the largest homes, including two-story designs with bonus rooms and room for a large pool and outdoor kitchen.
Lawn care and irrigation are included in the HOA dues, which makes lock-and-leave living easy for seasonal residents.
The Place at Corkscrew Builders & Floor Plans
Lennar and Pulte each built several collections here. Lennar’s Executive homes run from about 1,680 to 3,360 sq ft, while larger Lennar and Pulte designs reach beyond 4,200 sq ft. Because the community was completed in 2023, most homes still have newer roofs and systems, and many buyers compare these resales against brand-new homes in Verdana Village next door.

Who The Place at Corkscrew Is Best For
The Place at Corkscrew is one of the best fits in Estero for families who want a waterslide, splash park and kids’ programs at home, plus newer construction and included lawn care. It also works for seasonal owners who want a lively social scene. Buyers who prefer a quieter, lake-focused community should compare Corkscrew Shores, and 55+ buyers should look at Cascades at Estero.
Tips for Buying at The Place at Corkscrew
Start by choosing a lot width, because it drives price, home size and pool potential more than any other factor. Then compare builder and model: Lennar and Pulte homes of similar size can differ in layout, ceiling heights, included features and resale demand. Ask for the CDD bond balance and annual assessment on the tax bill, the current HOA budget, and whether the seller transfers any builder warranty coverage that remains.
Even on a newer home, order a full inspection and a wind mitigation report, and get homeowners and flood insurance quotes during your inspection period. Homes near the amenity center are convenient for families but can be busier on weekends, while preserve-view homes at the edges of the community are quieter.
